Well in 2001 Napster was the best service for downloading music of all-time. We know how that ended, they got sued and shut down. Then they came back as $0.99 per song, which was pretty overpriced. Their new service lets you download songs legally, for $14.95 per month.
This service works well, and the downloads are fast. If you don't want a ton of songs, just certain ones, and you don't care about the added benefit of movies, games, and software, then we suggest Napster.
$14.95 per month isn't a bad deal, and Napster is reliable and 100% legal, but you can get more content and a better deal somewhere like MusicETC.
